Why people trust me?
A safe, compassionate space where you can be truly heard.
Welcome, I’m Silvia, a qualified psychodynamic therapist. I work with people experiencing anxiety, low self-confidence, depression, unresolved trauma, difficult relationship patterns, grief, and significant life changes. Over the past five years, I have developed broad clinical experience across the NHS, community services and charities, working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.
My professional experience includes working within an NHS bereavement service, supporting people through grief and loss, and my current role as Head of Psychotherapy Services at a community service supporting asylum seekers who have experienced or witnessed trauma. I have also worked with expats experiencing homesickness and isolation and volunteered within the LGBTQIA+ community, supporting people around identity, acceptance and belonging.
These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of emotional difficulties and life experiences, and have shaped a practice that is attentive to each person’s individual circumstances. I bring warmth, curiosity and openness to my work, while recognising that everyone’s experiences and ways of making sense of the world are different. You can read more about my approach to therapy.
I hold a Clinical qualification in Psychodynamic Therapy and continue to develop my clinical practice through specialist CPD in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Complex Trauma, Dissociation, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Attachment Trauma, Identity and LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Practice.
I am registered with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and practise in accordance with the CMA ethical framework.
